About this clinic

The East Side Health District was established in 1937. Over the past seventy-three (73) years the East Side Health District has been devoted to improving public health and the environment of the residents of Canteen Township, Centreville Township, East St. Louis Township and Stites Township by providing the appropriate preventive health care throughout our community. We work closely with both the East St. Louis and Cahokia School Districts to insure that we provide programs that positively impact the health of children. Furthermore we collaborate with other local community social service and health care organizations to include: Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House, Comprehensive Mental Health, Southern Illinois Regional Wellness Center, Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation and various local Churches. Annually we provide preventive health services to thousands of clients throughout our community.
