About Free Clinic Directory
Free Clinic Directory helps people find free, charitable, community, low-cost, and sliding-scale healthcare providers across the United States.
Our goal is to help people without insurance, people with limited coverage, and anyone facing cost barriers identify possible sources of care and understand what to ask before visiting.
What You Can Find
The directory may include free and charitable clinics, community health centers, FQHCs and Look-Alikes, public-health clinics, dental and behavioral-health clinics, mobile and student-run clinics, hospital-affiliated outpatient programs, and other qualifying nonprofit or public providers.
Not every provider uses the same payment model. Some offer selected care without charge; others use sliding-fee discounts, reduced fees, insurance billing, or a combination.
What "Free" and "Low-Cost" Mean
A listing does not guarantee all care is free. A provider may limit free care to eligible patients, request a donation, charge a reduced fee, use a sliding-fee schedule, bill insurance, or charge separately for tests, medications, procedures, imaging, or referrals.
How Listings Are Added
Information may come from clinic staff, official websites, government sources, community organizations, patients, or existing records requiring review. New listings and suggested changes are moderated.
Verification
Verification may involve an official website, government source, authorized clinic submission, or direct contact. "Managed by clinic staff" and "Recently verified" are different labels. A claimed listing is not automatically independently verified.
Keeping Information Current
Clinics can change hours, pause intake, revise eligibility, relocate, or close. Visitors and clinic staff can use Suggest an Update; changes remain pending until reviewed.
What We Do Not Do
Free Clinic Directory does not operate clinics, schedule appointments, determine eligibility, guarantee free care, provide medical advice, or act as an emergency service.
Editorial Independence
Inclusion is not an endorsement. Paid advertising remains separate from listing and editorial decisions and does not control verification status or corrections.
